And so it begins!

And so it begins!

9 August 2020 Jesper Alberts Comments 1 comment

After long consideration I finally pulled the trigger and started my own blog. As I’ve never done something similar before I might fall for all the obvious rookie mistakes. So if you spot one, let me know!

Why start now?

As I mentioned earlier, I started after considering it for quite some time. Most likely anyone who has been at this point thought the same:

  • Will people visit?
  • Will they like my content?
  • Do I have something interesting to blog about?

Well, there is only one way to find out! And I have you reading this, so that’s a good start.
The main reason I started is that I wanted to give back to the community. Whatever you’re searching for, there always tends to be a blog post about it with the right answer or which atleast points you in the right direction. With this blog I hope I can help others with their issues.

Another reason is that I’ve been recognized as a VMware vExpert for two years now, mainly by contributing on Reddit.com in /r/VMware and /r/VMwareHorizon. But as I’ve always felt I could do more, so here we are!

There is more to come!

As you might’ve noticed there are already some blog posts available and I plan to add at least a few more the next couple of weeks. In September I will be enjoying my summer holiday with my family, so things will be quieter.
After that you can expect a lot of content, starting with a big announcement in October!

If you have any questions, advice or just want to talk. Then feel free to reach out on LinkedIn or Twitter.

Setting up my new MBP with the M1 chip. Compared to my "old" one with 10th Gen i5 this thing is really fast! The Intel MBP lacked the snappiness which the M1 certainly has.
