About me
Welcome, and thanks for visiting!
In case you weren’t aware (yet), my name is Jesper Alberts, and I’m a technology enthusiast from the Netherlands.
I first said “Hello world” in 1989 in Utrecht, and I never strayed too far from the center of our country.
My interest in IT, or computers in general, initially started at the age of 6 when our first computer arrived at our house. Ever since I started breaking things before fixing them to fully understand how things work.
During my career, I went from an all-around IT administrator to a consultant and then to an architect specializing in different products from VMware. Over the years, this transitioned to the world of End User Computing (EUC) with a passion for the experience side of things.
In December 2023, after a journey that took over 18 months, I achieved the VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) certification in EUC, with my VCDX number being #301.
Outside of office hours, you can find me riding my road bike across the Netherlands (or watching it in front of the TV), spending quality time with my family, or tinkering in the homelab.
